Important Time-Management Technique

Joseph Feibel – January 10, 2018

I do not usually answer my phone. If I have my cell phone in my office and I see that a relative is calling, I answer it. However, this does not happen often.  If it has a phone number instead of a contact’s name, no chance. That’s it. If it says “blocked caller,” no chance. That is the single most important technique to increase productivity I have ever adopted.

If someone wants to contact me via email, my email address is listed on this site.
I can scan an email in a few seconds. Talking to one person on the phone takes at least 10 minutes. It may take 20 minutes. I don’t have 20 minutes to spare. If I do, I call him.

Answering one email takes little time.
If it’s not important enough to ask me by email, then it’s not important.
I have not talked much on the phone much.
This is my secret. If it works for you, great.
If you have a better secret, let me know. But don’t call me, send me an email.
