The Expert we want to hire does not want to use his Social Security Number to register in the System for Award Management. Please advise.
The ALC and Trading Partner ID are not required, since he’s not a federal entity. The Taxpayer ID would be his Tax Identification Number (TIN)/Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Social Security Number (SSN). If the expert does not want to use his SSN, activating a new EIN with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) takes 2-5 weeks.
